Description:Phoenix Dan Cong, also known as Feng Huang Dan Cong or Phoenix Oolong Tea, Is a oolong tea produced in Fenghuang shan (Phoenix mountains), elevated from 350-1560 meters above sea level, In Guangdong province, China. The tea bush is Phoenix Shui Xian. In ancient time, one tea bush can only make one kind of tea, And there are too many names, So people collectively call them Phoenix Dan Cong. So far,It is a semi-fermented oolong tea between fully fermented black tea and non-fermented green tea. It embodies the fine tea making process of oolong tea.The finished tea of Dancong tea has the fragrance of green tea and the rich taste of black tea. It is a strong-flavor tea that combines floral, honey, fruit and tea aromas.The tea has more than 900 years of history and was also an Imperial tribute tea during the Song dynasty.
History:There is a legend that during the Song Dynasty, the Emperor passed by Phoenix Mountain. He was quite thirsty and asked one of his soldiers to pick some tea leaves for him to drink, and on doing so, the Emperor realized the unique quality of the tea. From then on, people specially grew this kind of tree, and named it Song Zhong.
